Where is Algarve? 

The Algarve is located in the southernmost area of continental Portugal and the southwesternmost area of the Iberian Peninsula and mainland Europe.

It is either a holiday destination to visit or a place for living and its warm climate and numerous fine beaches, contributes to its popularity. Benefits of Visiting or Living in Algarve

The Algarve is warm throughout the year and sun and beach are the most valued attribute and the main motivations for visiting or Living in Algarve.  But the region has much more to offer, including historical and cultural tours as well as high quality culinary experiences. 

If you want to enjoy the food and culture of Algarve when it is not too hot, you can best visit Algarve in the early spring or late autumn months. There are also less tourists in spring and autumn, compared to the summer, which tends to be an advantage.

But if you want to enjoy maximum beach time and get the most out of the sun, then you can best visit Algarve in the summer months. Summer is also the busiest time of the year in the Algarve and as a result, it is more crowded everywhere. 

Another benefit of visiting or living in Algarve is related to the ideal conditions for international retirement.
